The Mute, the Bandages and the Emo

If you’ve seen this, you know what happened. You know why Wolf is angry. She’s not alone either. I may not have any fancy powers, but you don’t get to pull that shit on my family and think that I’m not going to do anything about it.

If you’re stupid and haven’t figured this out on your own, I was the sniper. I was keeping watch in a tree when the denizens appeared. It didn’t take me long to spot the three assholes and, between the bandages and the LARPing sword, figure out which one was Franky. After getting off two shots, I slung the rifle over my back and got down out of the tree as fast as I could. I knew that at least one of them would come after me. The movement in my lookout spot proved me right. I took cover behind another tree, quietly took the gun from my back and chambered another bullet. That’s when I heard the sound of something heavy hitting the branches above. This guy was leaping from tree to tree like an animal, pausing only to look around, obviously trying to spot me.

I tried to take advantage of one of those pauses to fire again. The bullet passed through the space where he had been. The dude had pathed out. The noise in the tree behind me told me where he had appeared. Without wasting time looking back, I started running. I could hear him jumping through the trees behind me while I tried to put some distance between us. That plan didn’t work out as he was suddenly right in front of me. Instinctively, I slammed the butt of the rifle into his masked face and took off in another direction. From there it was a game of cat and mouse until Wolf screamed. I started running toward the noise while Franky apparently pathed over to bail out the loser and his sidekick. By the time I got there, Wolf was already kneeling over Fell. The campground was littered with dead art projects and scorch marks that used to be denizens.

Fell has been in and out of consciousness since. Wolf tried to pull some of Kelevra’s Azoth out of her, but she could only do so much. She has mostly been keeping watch over Fell since, but still comes out to help with the clean up every now and then. I’m glad for the help. It was a good idea to fix up the cabins and to make all those art projects, but man is it a bitch to clean. I hope that the clean up is giving her a break from worrying about Fell but I doubt it. I know I can’t stop worrying about her.

Fuck you Kelevra. Fuck you Malik. You’re both going to get what you deserve

Calavera

How dare you, you absolute scumbag. You coward. I will NEVER forgive this nor will I let it go until you have paid for it in blood. You will never achieve your precious goal, for I will hunt you down like a rabid fucking animal and devour you. Then I’ll keep your mind with me as I rip your “darling” from you and slowly snuff her out. You will be left alone like a brain in a jar with only your insanity to comfort you for as long as I live. If you have any sense in that broken brain of yours, you’ll reach into the old memory bank and dig up some fucking fear because the next time we meet no one will be able to save you. I WILL tear you apart.

I don’t know why I decided to come back to this thing

Maybe I needed a break from watching the US tear itself apart. Between that and the global pandemic, maybe Kelevra won’t have to worry about destroying the world, because it will already have been done for him. On the other hand, things have been mostly quiet here, except for Wolf’s “art projects”. I guess she really liked how the first two came out, because she made more. Some of them even came to us on their own. I guess they didn’t read the post about the other idiots who came here looking for protection. Either that or they thought Wolf might have changed her mind for some reason. I’m used to rolling with the crazy shit by now, but it is still a bit creepy to have them wandering around like that.

Those guys aren’t the only ones that Wolf’s been working on either. I opened the door to the ritual room one day, only to see that she had torn off her fingers. They were dangling off her hands by what looked like a bunch of threads. I ran my thumb over the stump where my pinky had been and asked what the fuck she was doing. She glanced at me with a smile and told me not to worry. Her fingers started to move and curl while those threads started to lift them up. It was like they were natural to her, like she was just moving a normal human hand. She looked at them for a minute before the threads retracted, pulling her fingers back to her hand and sewing themselves on.

Wolf has been spending even more time in that room. Aside from mutilating herself, she sits in there, looking at the spot where she came back. She has gone from feeling around that space to sniffing the air like an animal every now and then. I’ve asked her about it but I’m not going to tell you what she told me. It’s a long shot anyway.

Fell and I have still been keeping our skills sharp. Her aim has improved a lot during the time we’ve been here. I guess she’s used to only having one eye by now. We’re trying to be as prepared as we can be for whenever one of the grinning assholes decides to come after us.

Oh, and we haven’t seen that kid in a long time. I don’t know what happened to him. If he is still alive, then he made a smart decision in not coming back.

I guess that’s everything.

It is very rude to stare

Didn’t your parents teach you any manners?

They certainly did not teach you to bathe. No offence dear, but you smell rather strongly of sweat.

I suppose, if you had competent parents, you would not be here. That is, of course, if they are even alive. Is that why you’re here, little one? Are your parents dead?

Heh… Did I kill them?

Are you looking to join them?

No… You’re not suicidal or you would not have run from me. Where did you go so quickly? You disappeared behind a tree, leaving only your scent behind. Could not detect Ritter in the lingering odor, so I doubt you used the path…. But… Could be mistaken, I suppose.

It is definitely not a mistake that brought you here, however, as you would not have returned to continue your watch.

Did someone send you here? Heh… Wouldn’t that be interesting?

I’m writing this post for you, my little spy, just in case you happen to see it and feel like saying hello in the comments.
