Maybe
I needed a break from watching the US tear itself apart. Between that and the global pandemic, maybe Kelevra won’t have to worry about destroying the world, because
it will already have been done for him. On the other hand, things have been
mostly quiet here, except for Wolf’s “art projects”. I guess she really liked how the
first two came out, because she made more. Some of them even came to us on
their own. I guess they didn’t read the post about the other idiots who came
here looking for protection. Either that or they thought Wolf might have changed
her mind for some reason. I’m used to rolling with the crazy shit by now, but
it is still a bit creepy to have them wandering around like that.
Those guys aren’t the only ones that Wolf’s been working on
either. I opened the door to the ritual room one day, only to see that she had
torn off her fingers. They were dangling off her hands by what looked like a
bunch of threads. I ran my thumb over the stump where my pinky had been and asked
what the fuck she was doing. She glanced at me with a smile and told me not to
worry. Her fingers started to move and curl while those threads started to lift
them up. It was like they were natural to her, like she was just moving a
normal human hand. She looked at them for a minute before the threads retracted,
pulling her fingers back to her hand and sewing themselves on.
Wolf has been spending even more time in that room. Aside
from mutilating herself, she sits in there, looking at the spot where she came
back. She has gone from feeling around that space to sniffing the air like an
animal every now and then. I’ve asked her about it but I’m not going to tell
you what she told me. It’s a long shot anyway.
Fell and I have still been keeping our skills sharp. Her aim
has improved a lot during the time we’ve been here. I guess she’s used to only
having one eye by now. We’re trying to be as prepared as we can be for whenever
one of the grinning assholes decides to come after us.
I guess that’s everything.
Ha ha ha "destroying the world", good one Harty, that was a good one, gave me a good chuckle. I mean, if I were my living self, you wouldn't be wrong in assuming that my ultimate goal would be the nuking of the world, however, these days I tend to think in broad-strokes
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear that Knitty is still occupying herself artistically, despite the changes she seems to be exploring.
Speaking of which, tell her, I am more than willing to help her "explore" her "changes", I believe my input would be of the utmost value, we'll have to do lunch.
Heh... Yes! Indeed we must. How very kind of you to offer. I look forward to it, Calavera.
