Into the woods

As you may have guessed, I had a bit of an… incident in the woods recently; on Thursday to be exact. Wrote it as another story because Dia told me before that she likes my stories and Freedomcaged had said that he was looking forward to more, but here’s what happened in less flowery terms:

That evening I felt compelled to go to the woods again. I usually wouldn’t go that late for fear of being stuck out there in the dark but I knew that the compulsion wouldn’t go away and, as I said, I like the woods so I shoved a few needful things into my pockets including a flashlight, taped my knife to my back, pulled my shirt down over it, threw on a hoodie and left.

Once there, I walked along the trail enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the area. Eventually, I began to hear footsteps behind me. I glanced over my shoulder to see this guy following behind me. I kept going, noticing that he seemed to be keeping an even pace with mine so I took a look back to confirm and- good lord, he was grabbing his crotch and giving me a look that I most certainly did not appreciate.  His intentions made sickeningly clear, I sped up… so did he.

Figuring that this was going to get messy, I left the path and took off into the woods so as to avoid prying eyes. The idiot, probably thinking “woman + woods + evening = easy pickings” followed.
I’m not a very big person and I was very familiar with that area, so I was able to slip through the trees and over the roots with relative ease as I led him uphill. He on the other hand, while not an enormous man, was big enough that he seemed to be getting scratched by the branches and was either unfamiliar with the area or was not being careful enough to keep from stumbling over the roots. If only you could have heard the obscenities he hurled at me as I started to lead him back down.
I headed towards the plateau, him close behind. I pulled the knife from under my shirt just as I reached the area, turned and thrust the knife towards him as he was barreling down. I had intended to catch him in the gut, but my aim/timing was off…. and yet so perfect…

Yes… in the lucky shot to top all lucky shots, I wound up stabbing the would-be rapist right in the crotch. Of course, the momentum he had built up meant that we both fell, but it was worth it. We hit the ground and he rolled away from me. I was winded for a moment, but eventually managed to get to my hands and knees, taking up the knife which had been torn free in the fall. By this point, he was laying on his on his side and making a terrible racket. I crawled over to him and forced him onto his back… He wasn’t able to put up much of a fight thanks to the pain and his vain attempts to stop the bleeding, so it was relatively easy to keep him that way while I positioned myself behind his head…  Oh those panicked eyes, the expression he no doubt wanted for me…  I grabbed him by the hair, lifted his head, partly so he could get a better look at the damage and partly to keep out of the way of the blood spray and silenced him by cutting his throat. I intended to hold him like that until he died but Ritter cut that plan short when he suddenly appeared in front of us and sank one of his tentacles into the guy’s chest. I quickly let go and backed off as more of Ritter’s tentacles shot into his body, then lifted him up.  The next thing I remember is standing in my living room at home…

Don’t know what, if anything, happened in between, but I didn’t let that get in the way of my original plans for the night. Baked some chocolate chip cookies for my coworkers as yesterday was the last day of my contract with my day job.  They were enjoyed :)

Back to my original point, I think it’s safe to assume that my dear employer set this up, given the compulsion I felt to go there…  I think my job description has officially changed somewhat

Anyway…  Dia, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry I couldn’t be good like you asked… but at the same time, I’d like to dedicate this one to you, if that’s alright. I know it wasn’t David, but still….
And OPOF, I’m not trying to steal your thunder, so I hope you don’t view it as such

  1. Stalking, Murder,... and Cookies, how brilliant. While I do not mourn the loss of your stalker, as a male I couldn't help but cringe when your knife first landed. Congraulations on your promotion.

  3. Om- Well I can't think of a better combination hehe.
Thanks for the congratulations, though I don't know that this is necessarily a promotion
And really? This made you cringe?

    Sunshine- Good to know

  4. Oh yes, and don't give me that "oh really." Being hit... there.. is an unpleasent experince, I can only imagine what a knife wound would feel like. I am never completely dark, despite my enjoyment of your exploits, I am still capable of empathy, and even the slightest amount for that kind of injury makes me shudder. You may not understand because you haven't felt this pain, not that there aren't worse pains, but... they say the closest female equivalent is childbirth (I have yet to hear of anyone who has experinced both, but), which is actually worse. I imagine the pain of birth is actually worse, but women have nine months to prepare, men often don't have that kind of heads up. Meh, I don't want to discuss this any longer, reading about it provided enough discomfort.

  5. Oh my, it's not that I don't understand that it's extremely painful... I've been hit between the legs before so I have some idea of what it feels like (and yes, even though female genitalia is less exposed, there are still a lot of nerve endings there and the clit is just as sensitive as the most sensitive part of the penis)... My surprise was at the fact that you cringed at that but did not seem to bat an eye when OPOF said that he skinned a man and kept him alive for weeks before burning him...

  6. I was going to mention women are just as sensitive to injury in that area, but you beat me to the punch, Wolfie. :D

I am glad you killed that rapist, and if I had been there, I would have helped make his last moments even more excruciating, maybe healing his wounds and reinflicting them several more times, just to make sure he understood the error of his ways.

  7. Don't think I didn't wince at that, either. Tt's just a little that the injury you mentioned is a little more relatable. Like they say, you know getting hit by a hammer hurts, but you don't know how much until you acidentaly bang up your own finger. Also I had prepared myself for reading such an entry mentally after asking Dead One that question, so I was more ready when I read his answer. Plus Cage was more dominate then, he is not my empethetic half.

  8. Meh, I've been kicked and cut there and if I'm still willing to inflict such wounds, that makes you a wuss, Cagey. hehe <3 (j/k) BTW, do you have a blog? And who's Dead One? I want links! I'm going stir crazy in this basement while that madman watches me blog. I swear I'm going to take out his eyes soon.

Except Father would probably rather he be able to see Him coming when he, you know, gets here... whenever that is.

  9. Dead One is Om's nickname for OnePoundofFlesh

  10. I'm afraid my personal life (or what I can share of it) is not that int resting. Besides, I doubt your "father" would approve, he hardly tolerates all of my commenting on others blogs, though I balance it off often enough that he lets me.

Dead One is the name I have given One Pound of Flesh. I noticed that you alread y are a member of his blog, so, sadly, links are not in order .

As for being a wuss, I think that has more to do with how much p ain you can take than how much you deal out. That said, I probably am a wuss, heh, but what do I know ?

  12. Not a problem dear... I'm just glad you didn't mind me giving the explanation for you

    ReplyDelete
  13. OK, Makes sense. But you won't give me links because I'm already subbed to Wolfie? That's hardly fair. I still want links (someday) :3 I'd bet you have at least one blog somewhere.

And I was just teasing about you being a wuss. I'd have to get you under the knife to find out for sure.

Do you prefer to be called Om, as Wolfie calls you?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Nah, I think he's saying that he won't bother to post the link to OPOF's blog because you're already subbed to it... http://ihavenothingbuthateinmyheart.blogspot.com/
    This one right here

    ReplyDelete
  15. So Om's blog is the same as Pound's?

    ReplyDelete
  16. You'd lose that bet than, no blogs of any kind anywhere, I'm afraid. If that changes perhapes I will let you know, though it isn't likely to change soon.

I know were kiddin g about the wuss thing, but I had to ha ve my say. Perhapes som eday you will get a chance to test me, though I'd adv ise agianst seeking me out just yet, heh.

Finally, my name, you may call me whatever seems fitting, I like KintWolf's "Om" just fine (I have a nick name for you, too Knit, but it is rather long, I'll keep thinking though). If I don't like the name you call me I will let you know, otherwise anything appropiate will work.

  17. No no Ty... Sorry for the confusion... You asked about "Dead One" (OPOF) then asked for links. So he said that you were already subbed to OPOF and so didn't provide one. Then I attempted (read: failed) to clarify that same fact. haha

And you have a nickname for me? Really? I'd like to hear it, even if it's a "work in progress" heh

  20. Very well, I often enough consider you the "sheep in wolf's clothing," as you can see, it is a bit of a mouthful, and not exactly brimming with origonality. I'm trying to think of a shorter one that embraces what I know of you, but none come to mind, perhapes I am too attacehed to the one I have already concived. I'll submit one for your approval once I've figured something better out.

  21. Hehehe.. You probably know then that you're not the first to call me that... OPOF beat you to it. May I ask what your reasoning is?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Your stories provide such beutiful inspiration, I had to use them, but are you sure Dead one used the same word ordering? (prepare for an extended metaphor)A wolf in sheeps clothing is a fairly ovbious thing, once unmasked it is ovbious that it was to large, such large eyes and nose and mouth. Even after considering how easy it is to fake being docile, the only explination for its sucess lies in the sheeps stupidity. Wolves on the other hand, are far more brutal and clever, outsmarting them requires much more dedication. Any sheep able to do this is unparalleled among its peers, far more clever and brutal than any other sheep, and it has to be more clever than most of the wolves, as well. I see more than enough brutality from your peers, but you actually seem clever, which is why I follow you. You are not in this for the same reasons as the other "wolves" (to serve the alpha)but you perform your duties so effectively and with persicion. Never think the wolf among sheep is more dangerous than his counterpart, if you wonder, just ask where the sheep in wolves clothing got his outfit, heh.

  23. Heh.. Thank you dear. I'm truly happy to know that I've inspired you so much.

and yes, Sunshine used that wording... though I suspect that his reasons were not so flattering hehehe

  24. Oh I make it a point not to follow the blogs of people that I can't respect. In fact there are more than a few that I watch for information, but don't offically follow because I either don't know enough about them, or I have seen that they are nothing special. If I've given someone a nickname it is a sign of respect, no matter the name, I can rationalize much the same way I did yours. I'm glad you liked the description, I'm hardly a poet, but I do try.

  25. I usually put a lot of thought and respect behind nicknames as well, even if there's an element of humor there too. I did so with yours too...

  27. Well on the more obvious level Om is made up of two letters of your name. Right in the middle, neither empathetic or callous. So I'm not appealing more to either you're lighter or darker side when I address you.

On a more subtle level "Om" is a sound made in some forms of meditation which seemed appropriate considering the fact that you're comments are often thought provoking, even when expressing revulsion

Also there is a movie called Fantastic Planet. I don't know if you have seen it but it's very surreal. The humans in it are referred to as Oms. They progress, and free themselves from oppression by gaining as much knowledge as they can. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is essentially what you seek to do.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "Thought provoking," I'm honered. I do try for this, but one can never tell for sure how they are percived, thank you. I did notice the ovbious level, but thank you for reveling the deeper meaning, I hadn't caught it. And to an extent I suppose my goal does parallel the Oms, I will have to check out Fantastic Planet sometime.

  34. KnitWolf- Yea. I've been finding little things at my current residence have been moved slightly from one spot to another. Doors that I have locked, I find unlocked. Things of that nature. Maybe paranoia?

  35. Possibly... but then again... I know Ritter sometimes likes to take control... That's what happened with my fish... and I know I had to get back to my place somehow on Thursday.

  36. Oh my, I seem to be a little late on the pick up so I shall adress the subjects in the order they were mentioned.

1.) Dead One: I've given you a name, that means you've earned my respect. Even though the names I give Him aren't respectful, he has impressed me enough that I do, on some level, respect him, so I give him name. Your title on the other hand isn't disrespectful, it meerly holds what I think about who you are.

2.)Dia: I think she is on all of her minds, I rather miss her myself, I do hope she reapears soon enough, I've had far to litle oppurtunity to talk with her up to this point, and I do confess that I have a few questions I think she is best equiped to answer.

3.)Dead One agian: paranoia doesn't unllock your doors, you could have forgotten, but... it pays to remember that your contorting friend isn't the only creature of darkness out there, and I have been wrong before, he can be fickle in choosing his allies and victims.

    Changes are happening...
    I'll see you arou nd

  37. I miss Dia too. I hope she's ok and that David guy didn't do anything else to her. Someone should bring him to heel, sooner rather than later.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I agree Ty. I hope TheMadVentriloquist can find the courage to leave his house and go after David soon, as I suspect he's got the best chance of locating and ending him

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's amusing to note that every active runner and every active proxie I've met thus far has it in for him, and quite a few are activly searching. So all it take for us all to be friends is a disturbed rapist with a poor choice in victims. I can't wait for him to go down, the darkness in me wants Dead one to find him first, and even my light is ready to see him gone, heh. We'll find him soon, his taunt at Dia earlier just made sure no one would forget him until... well, I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

  42. Well, damn. This is what I get for not paying attention.

I love your stories, don't stop. I do like the fact that your Ritter took care of the clean up for you, that can be such a pain in the ass.

Don't apologize, love. I miss ya, and I look forward to talking with you all rather soon. Hopefully. It just depends on certain circumstances. I do truly miss ya.

I have a feeling David has a bad time coming for him, and I do hope it's at Ronan's hands. That 'follower' of yours had a rather amusing end, I'm rather happy that you had a knife on you.

Please keep writing. Everytime I can stand to check in on people, I make sure to read your work, among others. Drawings are beautiful as always, ya know?

  43. Brightsky! It's great to hear from you again.

I like that Ritter took care of the clean up too, though I somehow doubt that will always be the case judging from the experience of others.

I miss you too dear and I look forward to talking with you again but be sure to take care of yourself first.

I'm happy you were amused by what I did to that rapist idiot... I know I'm still smiling over it hahaha
